Here in South Carolina, we observe Memorial Day for soldiers who died during current and past wars. And, strangely, we also have a separate Confederate Memorial Day for Confederate soldiers who died during the Civil War. We don’t yet have a separate Veterans’ Day, but with Sen. Glenn McConnell in charge, who knows?
