Our state legislators think that South Carolinians want them to fly the Confederate flag from Statehouse grounds. They won’t know your opinion unless you write to them and tell them. You won’t know what they think until you get a letter back from them.
You can find your state legislators here. Thank you, in advance, for your interest in this defining issue for our state. Please, fellow South Carolinian, send in the following letter or a similar letter in your own nonviolent words to your State Representative and State Senator:
Dear State Legislator:
Please work to pass a bill to solve the problem of flying the Confederate flag from Statehouse grounds. The flag flies out in front of the State House, at the most prominent place on the grounds. People expect to see our governing flags at such a location. It’s very confusing.
If we take down the Confederate flag, we can end the NCAA ban and the NAACP boycott. Additionally, our state will no longer be defined as “South Carolina, where the Confederate flag still flies.”
Please let me know about your stance and about your efforts in this regard. Please let me know how I can help you. Thank you.
Regards,

Please, when you find out how your legislator feels about this bill, tell us. Please put in a quote from your legislator. What is their response?
